As the saying goes, "there they go again". The Columbian seems to be stuck in a rut. They apparently are in favor of any empire building scheme the tax and spend crowd can dream up. What do they have to Gain? Columbian Cheer Leader Tom Koenninger, has yet to see a property tax increase he didn't like.
>
> What Tom didn't report in his weekly column was "the Port of Vancouver visionaries' hasty decision to tax and spend, "WITHOUT A VOTE OF THE PEOPLE", some $80 million to buy and develop the old Alcoa Property was to keep private industry from getting in the way of their empire building.
>
> Good news, for those of you who are tired of having your pockets picked, there will, in a few days, be a petition available for signing that will place, on the Ballot, the Port Commissioners' decision to Tax You Out of Your Home.
>
> Stay tuned for information on where you can get a petition to sign and/or collect signatures. It is time to end taxation without a vote of the people.

Once again, let me reiterate, that I think a Vote is always in order, and I look forward both to signing the Petition, and voting for the Tax increase.

In fact, there are tax increases I will support, and some that I will not.

Stout Hearts!
