Pam Bokaw, former chairman of the Clark County Democratic Party, today became the first person to announce candidacy for the Clark County Board of Commissioners post now held by Betty Sue Morris. Morris has said she will not run again.

Brokaw currently is executive director of Affordable Community Environments, a nonprofit organization providing affordable housing in Clark County.

Like Morris, Brokaw is a former newspaper reporter. She worked for both The Columbian and the Oregonian. In addition, Brokaw held administrative positions with both Clark County and the City of Vancouver and was a congressional staffer.

Let's see if the CCR Party even bothers to dredge up a contender of their own...

After reading what the Columbian wrote, one has to ask?? If BS Morris is her mentor, is this going to be her kiss of death?? Folks out here dislike the 'Iron Maiden' and to say that she is your mentor, well this will be interesting to see how far she goes with that one??? Then there is the quote, " I'd like to see us talking about what things to do within the boundaries." when talking about growth tells me someone has no clue???
