Fine with me! Anything that helps promote the Northwest's outstanding brews is certainly in order...
Speaking of which, it's time to pick up a case of "Ebenezer Ale" for the holidays...

They're basically merging operations like so many of the other wine, ale and liquor companies have done. Basically a mass merger in the recent past 10 years.
Can some one tell me why this was happening? Would love to know the historical or chronological reasonings..

I think I read that they already have an allegiance that helps with distribution. When you actually look into the specifics of this deal, the Widmers are going to be controlling partners and the Red Hook CEO is going to be a "consultant". It's looking like this might have been more about his graceful exit from the industry than anything.

You're right about the distribution, and I believe that is where Anhauser Busch comes into play as a minor partner in this.
In any case I see no threat to one of our more popular local brews, do you? I don't think I'm missing anything on this...
