In response to a great conversation I had at the Dino Rossi Campaign kickoff last night at the Quay with a gentleman I hope will be a regular contributor to Clarkblog.org, I am setting up Presidential Campaign threads for different candidates. I will add new campaign threads upon request, but I want it clearly understood that I will not populate anyone's requested campaign thread for them. If you care enough about a candidate to ask me for a space, I expect you to keep it up.
What I intend here is to provide a place for all of the different Presidential Campaigns to post any Campaign materials that they care to post. All that I ask is that you put your material in your campaign slot, and avoid cross-posting your stuff into someone else's campaign thread.
I think this could be an informative way to fairly present all of the viable candidates who are running for the nomination. Our part in all of this will be a lot more important than many people realize with the early date of the Washington Primary. For the first time that I am aware of, Washington could be absolutely pivotal in the nomination races in February, so we had better start getting up to speed on things right now.
I intend to monitor this room closely, and if anyone has a problem getting their materials posted, please PM me, and me only. Louis Wu is the Administrator, and his duties do NOT include posting your stuff. I can help with photobucket and some technical questions about how to get things up here at Clarkblog.
Once again, let me state that I am providing space for any interested party (and Clarkblog registered member) to put up their campaign materials for their Presidential Candidate(s). I have no intention of making sure the presentations are balanced, or that fringe Candidates get attention they do not deserve; hence, you will not see me putting up a Dennis Kucinich thread unless some member here absolutely insists on it. (If that happens, expect me to scrutinize your Clarkblog.org application data closely via my contacts at the NSC... 8) ).
You will notice that the Thompson and Romney threads appear in what's known as "Child of" format. This is how I intend to do all of the campaigns, but it is not necessary to open the "Mother" thread before you will be able to see the "Children"; you can click on your thread from the main Index page. I will take care of sorting as required, so don't worry about posting something in the wrong place. There are no wrongs, but there may be more appropriate places for articles, so do not be insulted if I assist the format by moving your thread.
