A federal appeals court panel has refused to reinstate a lawsuit brought against Caterpillar Inc. by the family of a 23-year-old peace activist crushed to death by an Israeli bulldozer.

The three 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals judges unanimously ruled that the lawsuit presented foreign policy questions best left to the White House.

Rachel Corrie, of Olympia, was crushed in 2003 by a 60-ton Israeli bulldozer as she stood before a Palestinian home in the Gaza Strip. Her parents, Cindy and Craig Corrie, sued Peoria, Ill.-based Caterpillar, which manufactured the bulldozer, seeking to hold the company civilly liable for aiding and abetting human rights violations — the destruction of civilian homes.

**SCHNIPP**

St. Rachel the Flattened loses in court again...

This had less to do with Foreign Policiy decisions by the White House, and more to do about how ridiculous it was to sue the bulldozer manufacturer, because Rachel was a dumbass to stand in front of it in the first place...

But I won't wait to hear that analysis out of the 9th Circuit any time soon...

Sitting in Palestine or Israel in front of an Israel bulldozer is going to lead you to one place and that girl learned it the hard way.

The world does not operate like the US does.. How many examples of this does one need? Some times my head wonders why the US hasn't got its teeth and brain cells knocked down a few times?

Suing Caterpillar for what someone else does with their equipment, which they can't prevent one said equipment is out of their hands is so stupid?
