For those of you who would like to think that I am alone in my quest to change the makeup of the local tax and spend politician read on.

In view of the millions of tax dollars involved (schemes, visions, projects,, sales, and legal kickbacks) associated with downtown redevelopment, I suggest that all available information on the names of those who approved the sale of 1/2 of a city block for $200,000, what real estate agency/agents, if any were involved, and what legal kickbacks (tax incentives) were given to the developer(s).

As for Commissioner Arch Miller's Comments, I could have sworn that the Columbian supported their recent attempt to pick our pockets. I also echo the comments of Willard, if they (the Port Commissioners) really wanted the issue to be decided by the voter, why not sign the petition.

Please join me AND OUR GROWING NUMBERS in voting for Stemper, Campbell and Oliver in November. "IT REALLY IS TIME FOR A CHANGE".

Larry,

Did you catch the CVTV running of the latest port meeting. Arch Miller made a big speech about all of the misinformation the Columbian published. He forgot to mention the Val Ogden TV ad calling the levy increase as being only 1% when in fact it was a 4.2% increase. He also forgot about all of the false job projections the port was putting out. Claiming 1800 family wage jobs for 218 acres but then the port signed a long term agreement with WWL for 1190 jobs on 344 acres with many of those jobs being temp jobs.

He then went on to suggest that the port if given the opportunity by law would have much prefered to allow a vote. That's pure BS. If that were so he would have not only signed the petition but would have encouraged all of the port staff and longshoremen to sign.

One of the gals who I know who worked on the petition was at a luncheon that Val Ogden attended. The gal had a petition with her and ask some of the luncheon ladies to sign. Ogden made her pro port speech that they should not sign it. So much for the port position of really wanting to get this petition to the voters.

Did you happen to see where a credit union paid $3,000,000 for a couple of unused city buildings that were declared surplus but Elie Kassab could buy a 1/2 block of downtown for $200,000. Elie Kassab on July 7, 2007 donated $250 to Smith's campaign. Pollard got $100. These donations can be found on the Washington State Public Disclosure website. I am forwarding on to you another email that I had sent to Chalie Stemper showing the Kassab/Smith donation

You are absolutely correct in throwing out Tonkovitch, Smith, Leavitt and Arch Miller.
