It was too good to last for long...

As the “NO ON PROPOSITION #1 gathers steam”, and more and more voter are speaking out against this outrageous 132% increase on the property taxes the Port of Vancouver wanted to increase without your vote, the columbian has become increasingly quiet on an issue that may help break all existing primary voting records.
It is my opinion that after reviewing the information that brought about a Friday evening, Closed Door Port Commission meeting, following by a hasty Monday morning decision to increase your property taxes 132%, the columbian may be having problems justifying its decision to champion the Port’s decision.
However, what with the mis-information being forced upon the people by the Port and Citizens for a Strong Economy (much of it funded by out of state/port districts donors), the inability of the Port to develop the property because of the 150 page environmental agreement they signed with Mr. Paul King, the confusion on how many jobs will be created, (some say 15,000, others say 1,853) and the Port’s failure as a viable profit making public business enterprise, it must be difficult for the columbian to continue to support this latest attempt to “dig deeper into taxpayers pockets".
