I have a friend back east that is battling cancer and so I took some time off to make her a quilt. This is just one side.

Very nice!!

Have you been out to the Fair, and seen any of the quilts they have out there on display this year?? Mrs. Chief always drags me through to look, and the work out there is impressive!

Nope Chief, I've been on a boycott of that site for almost 2 years now. We used to take our photographs out there to be judged and have walls of ribbons. Even a Grand Sweepstakes!! >:D

Why do you boycott the Fair Karma?

Only reason I don't go is because of prices to do things inside.

The prices and the main reason is the pipeline that runs up under that darn place.

Sorry, We support the Clark County Fair every year, because we believe we're damned lucky to have a fairgrounds that nice, and a fair that is as good as it is.

I would point out that last year's Multnomah County Fair, which ran for three whole days, featured a plywood cow; and that was as close to livestock as they got.

Personally, I'd like to see the horse barns and horse show facility upgraded as and expanded as well. They are using portable (tent) horse stalls out there becuase they don't have enough good stalls to offer, and the ones thay do have are getting pretty old and worn.

And Chief, you know this has lost money for a long time?? Are you willing to dig into your pocket to pay for these improvements, even if it's loosing money?

Honestly if they really worked on adding some good amentities like the one Chief suggested, you would get me interested and buy in to going to the Fair every year.

Not really interested in any of the night shows or kiddy rides.. But some decent stuff like that? oh yeah I'd be interested.
