Arch Miller, Port Commissioner sent a message to all Vancouver Neighborhood Association accusing those of us who oppose being taxed out of our homes of lying.

By separate correspondence I forwarded for his information my comments made last night to the League of Women Voter and a copy of the Port's Annual Report published February 21, 2007 in the columbian.

Below is a copy of the cover email I sent to Commissioner Miller and his Email to Neighborhood association. Hopefully he will answer the question

"was the port lying to us when making its annual report or are they lying to us now"?

Please give this email wide dissemination.

Vote No on Proposition #1.

Commissioner Miller,

Someone was kind enough to forward to me your request to the Vancouver Neighborhood Associations where you accused opponent of making "untrue opposition comment" about the IDD Levy.

Below is a draft of the statement I made at the League of Women Voters Last Night. Below that is an article Published in the columbian on February 21, 2007 in which Port Director, Larry Paulson stated that the port had already purchased the Alcoa/Evergreen Property and had made financial arrangements to complete in 2009 the Rail Road Expansion. Please read both carefully and answer the question I raised, Was the Port lying to us during the Port's annual report in February 2007 or are they lying now?

Subject: Port of Vancouver IDD Levy

The August 21 Primary Election includes a very important Port of Vancouver IDD Levy. Some Neighborhood Associations have had opponents of the levy appear at their meetings to voice untrue opposition comments. If you would like to have someone attend your next Neighborhood Association meeting to make a short presentation and answer questions, we would be happy to do so. The vote by mail ballots should be mailed Wednesday, August 1st and the ballots will be counted on August 21st.

If your Neighborhood Association has already had someone supporting the levy attend your meeting, please accept our apologies. If not and you would like someone prior to August 20th, please respond and we will make those arrangements. You will not receive further messages on this subject. Thank you.
