Sunflowers!!

I decided that the focus in the back gardens this year would be petunias early, and sunflowers for the hot summer. I planted about 7 different kinds of hybrid sunflowers from seed, directly in the beds, and they are all starting to blooom....especially the multi-colored ones....enjoy!!

For scale, the top rail of my fence is eight feet off of the ground, so these are getting pretty tall. the mamoth sunflowers are still growing, and have not set heads yet....those will be just enormous when they do...

Very nice. I'm getting married next month and we're using sunflowers as the flower... I've looked at dozens and dozens of varieties lately. Yours are great.

We've got one lonely sunflower that sprouted up of it's own accord. But I figured that next year we should plant a row of 'em along the new fence I just completed this weekend.

Nice Chief, the squirrels blessed me with a couple. They don't do anything for me, I guess I'm picky??

I needed something that would take the heat against that fence, and sunflowers fit the bill. Lots of variety with the different hybrids too...

Chief there are plenty of sun worshipers out there in the tropical lines. Ever thought about a Nana??
