Hi,
Need another reason to vote NO on the Ports outrageous attempt to raise 132% the property tax fee they collect from you.
Read today's columbian. That contaminated property you see discussed in the columbian is the property the port has agreed to pay 48 million tax dollars for with the 78 million they want to take from your pockets. No wonder it has been on the market for years
The Port is obligated to explain in great detail the terms of the purchase contract, the cleanup and if any tax dollars or incentives are included in the deal. We also need to know when the property will be clean. According to the columbian it has been 10 years of hand wringing and the cleanup is still years away.
Vote no on the Proposition 1. Don't buy into a pig in a poke.
