Caught it last night and thought it was better than the last one. For us Stones fans, they really needed more Keith and he did a great job being Jack's Dad. I'm in hopes for more Pirates flicks, Depp was great!! 'Up is Down!'

Shawn Levy of the Oregonian gave it a D+....mainly because of the length (2 hrs 47 Min) and what he felt was too many special effects.

Frankly I don't know what he expects from the second sequel to a movie that was based on an amusement park ride...

That said, I have enjoyed the first two thoroughly, and I think Captain Jack Sparrow is one of Johnny Depp's best characters. We'll catch it after the feeding frenzy subsides a bit...

Word of warning it took the full time to return Jack back from the dead, lots of action and a better story line than the second one. I don't listen to the reviewers as they are usually wrong, remember it's their review and for all that it's worth is -0-!! I think it will have to be watched a couple of times to catch all that was going on so this one will be added to the collection for sure. To be truthful, I'd rather spend the money that is use to view a movie and buy the DVD when it comes out than to sit in a movie house to watch it but it was double date night for us empty nesters and what else is there to do in the City of Vancouver?
