At least three people feared dead

About ten minutes to seven, a plane slammed into a house on a golf course in Gearhart, Oregon near Seaside. 1190 KEX Morning Host Paul Linnman was in the area and says he was in a house about three houses down and says it felt like an earthquake. Linnman says he talked with Clatsop County's Sheriff who says at least three people are feared dead. There are other reports that three other people were taken to the hospital. Mike Fergus with the Federal Aviation Administration says there are preliminary reports of seven people involved in the incident with at least one possibly a Gearhart resident. Fergus says two federal investigators are headed to the scene. The collision destroyed one house and also damaged another.

One of the eyewitnesses is saying that it appeared that the pilot was having problems tried to land on the golfcourse.

Gearhart is where you can get access to the beach in a car and drive North to Fort Clatsop on the sand. We've vacationed a couple of blocks from this crash numerous times because Gearhart is a great place for kites.

And if your on the cheap way of doing it, a $18.00 each way bus ride is also possible to Gearhart. So sorry to hear that someone has died...

Terrible accident. Besides the pilot and his passenger, the crash killed 3 young children and put their mom, brother and sister in the hospital.
