It's no secret that I'm fed up with Rep. Jim Dunn's past behavior towards me and other legislative staff.

And, yes, I'm still upset that former House Leadership allowed Rep. Dunn to abuse me and chase me away from a job that I loved.

Nevertheless, writers shouldn't be biased - and that statement also applies to bloggers. (Even upset blogger's who just received a death threat).

I would like to thank State Representative Richard Debolt (Republican House Leader) for immediately calling for Rep. Dunn's resignation, after Dunn made an inappropriate comment to a Legislative staff member at a dinner in the Tri-Cities.

In a November 5, 2007 letter, Debolt informed Dunn that he had asked the Speaker of the House to remove him from his position as the ranking member of the Housing Committee, and all standing, select and statutory committees.

**SCHNIPP**

This entry comes from a young lady up in Whatcom County who id a former Legislative Aide up in Olympia, and has personal experience being sexually harrassed by Jim Dunn.

All I can say to her is that many of us here in Clark County want to be rid of Dunn at least as badly as she does, and are doing everything in our power to make that happen.

Stout Hearts...

Sorry to hear that a legislative aid from one of my two home counties had to face this.

My question is why he is not stripped of his membership in the house for his continued conduct and removed as a house of representatives?

Sickens me to a T. If you read the whole comment of what she has to say, this started before 2000, way before the Kennewick Incident.

Yeah, I have two home away from homes or allegiences too. One from Bellingham and one for Vancouver. Both have their wonderful synchrocities.

But to know that Jim has not been dealt for political game against a former legislative staffer and she alleges that he slapped her after she went reported his emails is just plain way out of line.

Now to be fair, Jim has a right to defend himself against these allegations.

But what distrubs me MORE, is that she says that she is facing harrassment and threats from Jim's supporters. Now if that is true, I have a personal need to come back to Vancouver and share with some people some life lessons in how you shall treat a lady.

But at this point, this whole thing is in the republican and democrat leaderships hands. There is a solid democrat majority right now and nothing right now is going to be gained from playing political favors which was in place when these acts were permitted to occur.

If anyone else is anyone from the 17th district who is going to be voting. Please take your time with the link that Chief has provided and read the allegations and commentary for your selves. It is a very long read, so do not be surprised if it may take you some time to get through it all.

If Jim Dunn still has supporters, they sure are hiding well...they aren't donating any money to his cause either.

I can believe though that if she was harassed by Dunn and let it be known in public that it was her, I can see how some hard core Dunn followers might take offense; but threatening her over it is completely over the line.

I haven't heard any bad-mouthing down here from the usual suspects...

I doubt Jim has any chance left in catching the Republican nomination for the 17th district. He's too way off in left field eating his cotton candy and pickles while the rest of the world goes on.

Now my question is, does she know what's going on with him now? :-) I think a little bit of passing the political knowledge might be in order.

I'm sure EB is 100% up to speed on Dunn.

With the new "Top 2" Primary rules, Dunn doesn't have a prayer. I figure that no matter what, Dunn comes in with the fewest votes in a three way race between him, Joseph James and Tim Probst.

<doing..>

I was thinking of the original primary and general election format. But your correct, there will be a new voting system in town and likely he'll get to go home and think about running again in a few years time.
