I'v decided to start a thread to encompass two good uses of Video that I think are a good start.. James Joseph does a good job locally but I would like to show our local candidates what slick, good and effective website video looks like.

Along with the commensurate web sites from the state of Washington.

Two of the sites and probably the hotest race in the state will be the governors race between Chris and Dino. If you go to their sites, you will notice how they use it to market their ideas, ideals and to speak to the voters.

Please take a look at these two sites and get a start of an idea if your planning into the future may be possibly looking to run or are in a race to run right now.

Though there is a bunch of money behind these two candidates, there might be ideas one can pull from each to incorporate into your overall design and improve your voter marketing and message output.

Please take a look at:

Chris Gregoire: http://www.chrisgregoire.com

The internet is the way to go. there are lots of people out there who are very good at designing websites cheaply ( ;) ) and these candidates no longer have to spend the big bucks buying space in the local rag, or even worse, trying to get on TV or Radio.

Look what Joseph James is doing with his "video essays" on YouTube...it's really pretty easy to do, and it is a powerful tool if used right...

It also has to be noted that some canidadites are simply not comfortable or are not good in some mediums. But I think almost all of our candidates running could do a campaign video?

And I'll also agree, that it does not take a rocket scientist to build a basic web page and through a text page up? You can find n Yahoo "smartbuilder" and there are 100's of these DIY web site What-you-see-is-what-you-get style internet development tooks. Heck, there is even Microsoft Frontpage?

There are people that will build web pages for a song. Not too hard to do it? If Joseph James can do it with a simple Youtube embeded video, who cannot?
