Sowed just two weeks ago and a head of all the other varieties. But some say these Albino Babies don't have a chance in he** to grow and mature due to what we did to hybridize these. Do you feel like a bet that all of these special babies will make it and could be a part of the history in the making?? Care to gues what these are??

I have a genuine thunderstorm over my house right now; lightning, thunder, and it's raining pitchforks and naked babies!!
;D
On Edit: yah....hailed like hell too!! I thought all of those tender annuals I just finished planting were going to get pounded to pieces, but the hail was small enough that it didn't do any damage....

Chief, these are very special seeds according to what the experts say!! I crossed two plants that are in the same family but different genus if that makes sense?? This is really rare to occure and to get albinos out of it is even rarer!! We are emailing back and forth the experts here in the USA and accross the pond!! The judges are still looking into this and when the babies get a couple more leaves several of the will be sent in for testing. I am also going to see about getting them cloned if the judges feel they are what they are! See you never know what will pop up in our gardens!! Oh how I love to play!! You should see some of our columbines, they are to die for!!

True albinos??!! That would be pretty unusal....do you think they will survive to maturity?? Do they have enough chlorophyll to grow, or does the albinism affect that too??

One of the seeds dropped last year and that is the Albino at our webshot site that we couldn't figure out where it came from. Well now we know that was from the pod that broke open. We know they will grow and take full sun as that is what it got last year. We also were able to
get two seed pods and cross the albino with the mom plant that produced 4 seedpods. We are now awaiting to see if those will sprout. We are on the cutting edge of something here according to the experts. More on this later, who needs a Hort./Master Gardener license?? They say this can't be done but we did it!!

Been talking to the University guy back east that wrote some papers on this and yes he is getting a couple babies to play with. We also sent him seeds from the hybridizing of them both! The guy is in heaven that I would go to him first. I did everything right but one thing and he feels that that shouldn't matter as I made sure nothing would disturb the process. Sorry I'm not a big fan of WAU or Clark's Bot. so I'll pass. I'm not a big fan of the Master Gardener's program either, as a MG friend states I do things they would frown on. Now I'm awaiting for the guy across the pond to contact me as he is the other expert I trust. Then I'll be talking to the folks about cloning if this is what we all expect it is. The big thing is they smell like peanut butter!! ;)

So what would the full Latin name be?? The creators get naming rights, right??

We are still looking into the naming as to which should be used, Brugmansia/Datura. How about Dat-mansia Albino or Dat-Brug Albino? Yep I'd get all the naming rights and a place in the books!! All I can say is I play!!

I just can't take any more excitement!! But again we are seeing another set of Albinos poke upward out of the soil and this time it's the seeds from the cross of the D. Missouri Marble Albino X D. Missouri Marble!! Then we also noted that the D. Missouri Marble is again back for the fourth year in a role, what do these garden folks know??? They state this is an annual and won't return, bullsh*t!! One expert stated that these albino plants will die with in the first week, yea right!! I'm planning on a whole new garden bed of albinos!! I can just see it now those airplane making another pass as they try to figure out what the heck is growing out back beside those other plants off the deck!!
