One needs to ask, Why is two citizens from the NE Hazel Dell NA going again? Why isn't the Columbian looking into what is wrong here? Why is Ballou even representing anyone ?He isn't the NE Hazel Dell NA President is he? Doesn't the County's NA ordinance state this is for the Presidents of the Associations and isn't VanCleve the one that is listed? Just how many times has VanCleve and Ballou gone to the NUSA?? More can be said but again whom is watching what these folks are doing and to the cost to the taxpayers' of this community??

Likely as not, they were the only ones who expressed an interest. Some NA's are more well connected than others are; not a convenient excuse, but certainly a factor. My NA doesn't do anything except plant trees, paint the fence on 1 alley, and conduct an annual cleanup.

Chief, Why have a NA program if they can't do what they should do? Lucky you, ours isn't much better, just parks and selling out the Community for cheap benches!! Or using County services for a church? What happened to the strongest NA in Clark County?? Why keep sending the same old same old and save the taxpayers' some money. I see the County's group gave the NA coodinator a useless piece of paper and flowers, make a person wonder why?? It's all about control and one needs to look at who the key players are in this waste of taxpayers' money??

Thanks Buff, hope you feel better soon.
It appears Fire District #6 is learning the hard way about another NA leader that is making the news today?? More can be said about this but ya know I love saying I told ya so!! There is karma in this old world!!

Whom would you be speaking of Karma? Didn't think I wanted to read your typographical thought process and puzzel to figure out whom you were talking about??
There is one former district fireman running for the County Comissioner spot, is that whom your speaking of?
Trying to find out where I can find my Kevanna Park NA officials. Never seem to be able to find an email, phone or address of said officials. Any one can help me?

Buff, on the 'C' Clark County page, volunteer plant to sue Fire District 6!! One would think they would know not everyone can man those firehoses?? One can say more about this but it's a lesson they need to learn? Let's just say
if one plays with the 'Big Boys' one should think about what can be said? But to sue, come on here . . . .????? Is the need for money a wise move??
Those Brad signs are a hoot and that is another long story of disappointment?
Kevanna Park NA, have you tried the City or County NA information? If you seek Park information then that is in a different spot?
Waterbuffalo

I tried every piece of Information from the City's NA office and got no where. Kevanna Park is a little bit west of Image and North Image NA along I-205 to the East and 28th to the South. Right across the street from SEH America.
So I have not gotten anywhere with any of that information Karma.
Brad's got some hootful signs? hmm.. I do remember your comments about him.
Did you go watch Denny Heck's one man side show at Columbia River HS? (could be wrong on that location.)
Was the above comments from the local news paper? which day?

Yes, local rag today about the Felida NA President sueing, go read and have a good laugh. It just shows the caliber?
I went to school with both Brad and Denny so why would I want to go see either? No is the answer to going to see that show as I know what the show is so why go? I just love how 'Brad' is so important that is all you see in the sign????
Go to the Parks & Rec. Dept if this is about the park not the NA. It sounds as the if in the City and the NA office there should help?

The name of the neighborhood is called "Kevanna Park." All ready asked the City and NA and did some searches off Sensibilist's site but no go and no help from the City.
Though we DO have a wonderful little park of the same name but its the NA information I am looking for. I am not looking for park information, NA is what I am searching and stewing about.
Did you read Chief and my comments on Lou's column? Sums probably up this article quite nicely.
Now where do I find an ambulance chaser when I need one?

The City's listing states it's inactive, so are you thinking of activating it? Ya want the steps in doing so? The good steps not the City's way??
As for Lou's article, 'Bias Agenda' comes to mind with all the issues and I did it in two words!! Whom needs 50???

Yeah.. I'm not going to be too active any more Karma in getting going after the information. Selling the current place, so looking up the NA isn't worth looking anyways.
Thanks for looking though. Have a suspicion that there are not a lot of people that want to assume the mantle of NA of this area. Lot of lower income housing and apartment tracks in this NA and North Image/Image NA's.

Buff, I hear a lot of folks complaining about the NA of late and ya know they are half the problem of what we see going on here. They have sold out to the City and County, this is a true shame?????

So when will you finally become my neighbor? ;-0 Soon enough I'll be able to shake your hand and say Welcome Neighbor. Welcome to the City of Vancouver. Shall I set you up with a payment plan to pay 12 easy installments for light rail and many other fine transit opportunities that you won't have a CHOICE in not paying? ;-p

Buff Darlink, ya know sometimes beating that dead horse isn't going to make it move???
With the leadership in the County and those that think they can make a change Portland is looking better by the minute!!

:-) Karma.. They all ready have made Vancouver look like Portland Schweetie.. :-)
Don't you know that? And very soon you'll be part of three creeks that will be swolled by the City of Vancouver in one or two gulps in ten years?
Hope you enjoy your little fiesta with the neighbors.. Because soon enough, I'll get to give you the same hello I get and Chief will introduce you to the new tax increases..... ;-p

Buff darlink!! This place can't continue on the past that it's been scooting some of these leaders that have taken. To annex this area will bring a serious change and if they want the respect up north they need to cut the ties with Portland fast!! Or they should break off and be Portland's bedroom as we see more folks move south now that they have learned what is on this side of the bridge was worse than the other side. Portland has lots to offer!!
Waterbuffalo

Did you forget that your not going to have a choice in the matter of being annexed.
As the City of Vancouver starts setting up the political chess to take Hazel Dell by sewer connection or any other means possible.
You know, BSM is doing the City of Vancouver's work really nicely by packaging Three Creeks up with a huge Bow on top! Hope you enjoy it!

Buff, did you forget what the vote was and to bring this to the vote again isn't going to happen as the first group lost some key players!! They would be sitting outside the library to get signatures and it's would take them to long. Besides if the City was smart they would allow BSM the big bow and package to continue the work, ya know just how much she is hated out here???????? So those that aline themselves with her, well it comes all nicely wrapped right??
If I had my way I'd be living in Portland in a nice neighborhood!!

"If I had my way I'd be living in Portland in a nice neighborhood!!"
Are you not apart of the Portland Metro area all ready Karma. So where would you Officially like to look to move to?
karma
05-10-2008, 08:42 AM
Buff, those are the reasons the north WA folks feel we are a part of Portland and not a part of the State of WA.
If I had my way it would be out west I-26 into the hills there where the Brugs could grow naturally. This area used to be a great place to live in the 70s but not anymore.
Chief, so sad!

If youi look over in that area from Forest Grove moving east light rail is going to be continually moving that way and since Portland has a natural barrier of the Columbia River to the north, the metropolitan area has only two ways to grow because of the Columbia River Gorge Scenic area and multiple national monuments and parks to the East along the Cascade Foothills and mountains.
So this leaves Portland and her sister yearlings to grow south into Clackamas and northwest into Scappoose/Clatskanie areas or fully Southwest into Lake Oswego/Tigard/Tualatin or west of Hillsboro/Beaverton and further into Forest Grove in the near future.
So Karma if you think moving over there is going to solve your problems, your just following the future growth trend into that area??
Did I also fail to mention in that area that there are creeks that flow through there and on to Vernonia/Clatskanie floods from a year ago?
