The new Chief-Mobile

Well! Our credit union had a used car sale today, so we did some homework, found a car we liked, priced it and stuck to our guns, and drove home with a 2nd car to replace my old Tracker that up and died last July.

I thought I'd tough it out and share the Saturn with the Missus, but it has proven to be less than practical and has pretty much left me isolated without wheels most of the time.

So what did I get? A 2004 hardtop Tracker of course...the original was a '93 ragtop short wheelbase model Geo Tracker...

V-6,4WD, Should get in the low thirties HW, High 20's in town, Automatic, A/C, AM/FM/CD, Electric locks, mirrors, windows, rear wiper/washer, they even included the air in the tires!!

Seriously, it's a used fleet car, one owner, with a clean CarFax report, so we figure we got a great deal on the used car we really wanted. We both even like the color!

Back on the road again!

I'll probably get to see her in the next few weeks though it has just been reminded to me in my brain that I'm supposed to be doing some thing on an old air field.. hmmm.. What was it?

I was out at the field earlier, and the wind is just oo light and variable. It needs to be blowing pretty steady to fly, and right now it just isn't. Maybe tomorrow...

The Missus ordered me a custom license plate frame for the back, and it came today...

That's the latest custom plate that DMV is offering these days...it's Klingon for "Chief"

Yeah, I agree with you finally Karma.. Sent him an PM on the subject two days ago...

But alas, its not the letters on his car he's worried about, its the effect of the bumper sticker rimshot and outerplate of the license he's interested in showing off.
