Pretty much a good way to completely waste an hour of my time. I signed in to be an observer, and they parked all the observers where there wasn't a goddam thing to observe!
Typical Clark County Republican event.

So when are we going to get a report of what happened?
Do I have to wait for the time shifters over at a certain local paper to give me a can of varnish and paper to cover the truth of the event?

The speakers were supposed to come out and regive their speeches to the observers... there simply wasn't room in the auditorium. I wouldn't be surprised, however, if Dino declined to do so. And the point in time to rail against Dunn would have been in the breakout session around lunch time - so you could talk to 17th district delegates directly.

The number of "observers" were so few, most of the candidates were not really trying to make their speeches. Brad Lothspeich was the exception. He sounded good, and I sure liked what he had to say.
I did see Jim Dunn waddle in, look around, eat a few cookies and leave. I wonder why there were no Dunn signs there...

Fisticuffs, check PMs...
If anyone knows where to get a copy of Dino's remarks from Saturday, I'd like to publish them here at Clarkblog.org...

:-) Love your new 0 day Climate change picture..
I got to watch the video. Matt was a little loud and punctuating but with 3 minutes you didn't really had time to speak one's mind. Jim was too Short. Brad was nice, would like to see if he has more to say. Might see if I can catch him some time at a public event.
Of Course my favorites were Orcutt and Jaime Herrerra. They were so intelligent and have some thing to say. They have a commentary that shows they work their asses off representing the 18th District. I'm proud to see that they serve a part of our community and Cowlitz County.
Of course, Don Benton was his usual showboat. :-) Guess we'll see how he does against his opponents.
Dino was a sparkler as well. Luke Esser, was right, this guy has a good chance of beating Gregiore. I watched him work in the State senate when I lived Belingham. He worked with my other favorite (yes, I do have democrat favorites too.) Mary Margret Haugen. If you want to see stiff, old bird that Frank Chopp in his place, this woman is the one who can do it and she doesn't put up with any thing.
GO DINO GO! Gets out the pom poms.
Debbie Peterson was ok but she's got a long way to go to beat her challenger. She has her opinions but I doubt she has any thing similar to how I feel about the Columbia River Crossing.. She's got a lot of work to do.
Can some one please tell me who was the GOP Challenger to Brian Baird? I remember her face just not her name??
Well that video was about 2.5 hours. There was a lot more to say but I'd love to see the rest of our regulars have to say.
Did we have any people who got copies of speeches or remarks?

It was a he, not a she, challenging Baird. His name's Michael Delavar. He does much better in smaller settings - he'll have to work on that. I had the chance to hear from him, Brad, and Matt at a Young Republican's meeting that was very informative. I like him quite a bit, even if I don't care for some of his Ron Paul inspired views on foreign policy.

Where can one find such a thing as the 'Young Republicans" associated in Clark County?
I do have this link:
http://washingtonyr.org/ (This is a state wide young republicans group that I didn't list in my links in another thread.)
And looked at the stuff off the CC GOP site related to CC Young Republicans but its just a calendar of events??
Looking a little further into it I did find an email address at ccgopyoung@clarkcountygop.org..
So for the 18 to 40 year old crowd that are CC residents and Faithful members of the party, might want to give them a little email and ask more about them.
To Fisticuffs points, sounds like I just need to seek Matt and Brad out, so I can find more about them. Though I do wish both were members here...

Young Republicans meet every third Wednesday at 7:00 at GOP HQ. I've actually got to design a new website for the group, and I'm not sure that email is being properly redirected either (I've tried to fix it). When I get the new site functional I'll be sure to let you know.
