A.) Do you think the State of WA is going to send the same funds to a City or County that has lets say 5,000 citizens compared to one that has 600,000?

B.) Will the State of WA want to hear/listen from an area that can't get along and is always fighting with it's urban growth area?

C.) Do you think it is wise for two area, lets say one is a City and the other the urban growth are to divide and make it's own city? Do you think the State of WA is going to view this as a problem area?

D.) Do you think the State of WA is going to take an area seriously if they dump problems in an other area? Ya know like NIMBIES?

E.) Do you view an area like Airport way/Strip Malls a safe area or a lack of vision?

F.) Do you think it's wise to beat the Dead Horse/Ghost Town area by pumping it full of money when you have other areas of let's say any given place being neglected?

G.) Do you view it wise to make promises to a given area and you have an agreement then divert the money for another agenda item?

I can go on with the questions but as an attorney I would really like to hear your views??

A) Moving boundary lines around does not change the total population of an area, and does not change our state legislative representation. The only difference it makes is how much the city of Vancouver can pay it's lobbyists, versus how much the county pays theirs, versus how much a new city could pay theirs. Total net effect on county pull in Olympia: 0.

B) The squeaky wheel gets the grease.

C) No. Why should they?

D) The state will take seriously anyplace that can deliver votes. Much as you may have a grudge against them, Nimbys deliver votes.

E) What's Airport Way have to do with anything?

F) Do you think it's wise to ask questions that require mind-reading skills to understand?

G) Same as F. I think you're talking about the December agreement between the county and city. That agreement specifically mentions/approves the Three Creeks advisory group.

I think (F) has to do with urban renewal efforts in Downtown Vancouver versus using that money in other areas such as the Fourth Plain Corridor or the McLoughlin Heights area.

(Or Salmon Creek as I imagine she's thinking, but that's outside Vancouver currently so the same pots of money may not apply.)
