Today might be an excellent day to take the time to watch the regular meeting live...

Will some one get a scathing rebuke live? :-)

I think I was very reserved and polite. Scathing?? Go watch the tape and you decide...

Listening..
I'll give Jerry credit on one thing.. You and I weren't there, so my reference would have been second hand gesturing from the local news paper or information from a source near to the Port of Vancouver.
If I had attended like I had wanted to, I might have heard such information.. But alas, keep his feet to the fire and lets see what real information comes out later...

I didn't attend Sharon's meeting because I have heard her spiel dozens of times myself. I saw no need to attend just to hear her say the same old thing.
And if I had been there to hear Jerry's speech, I'm not sure I would have chosen to stay polite about it...
Probably best for everyone that I did not attend it. In any case, what the columbian had to say about it was the issue, but Jerry didn't seem to understand that either. I really don't think he gets it...

<Dings his brain!..> I think I finally got your point???
Not going to comment anymore because if I did, I might have to get my anger quotient too high..
Ok, I agree with what you just said. Moving on to the next post in the order list.

It just dawned on me that I didn't even mention the business that was transacted at the Port Tuesday. My friend Nelson Holmberg is on vacation, so there is no News Release for this regular meeting like there usually is. Of course the columbian hasn't mentioned anything about this either (I wonder why Johnathan Nelson even bothers going to the meetings...)
There were 2 items for the West Vancouver Freight Access project, which is proceeding as we speak. The first item was a change order on Schedule 1 Phase A that included some additional items that were not apparent when the original contract was signed. The Port Commissioners approved 4 items, including an anti-graffitti coating for the berm walls that the City of Vancouver will reimburse the Port for.
The second item was the awarding of the contract (over $7 Million) for Schedule 1 Phase B of the project to the Nutter Corp. This will be the construction of the new berm to carry the rail spur off to the Port, along with the temporary "Shoefly" that will transfer rail traffic to the new berm, while the old berm is demolished. A matching berm will be built to carry the mainline tracks.
I've asked for a few drawings from the Port, to better show some of the features of this project that will very shortly start taking shape down there, and I will post those as soon as I get them.

That's what I always ask for. I like the fact you can zoom in on pics and other documents with Adobe, and some of the Senior readers here at Clarkblog appreciate it too, I know...

With my bad eye sight, I'll concur.. Especially when one needs to zoom into find that finer detail..
