(2008-03-10) — News that New York Gov. Eliot Spitzer may be accused of a rendezvous with a pricey prostitute in a Washington D.C. hotel on the eve of Valentine’s Day has shocked his party’s faithful, who can hardly believe that a Democrat, or a state governor, left the nation’s capital with less money than he had on arrival.

According to a 47-page affidavit unsealed by federal prosecutors today, a man referred to as Client 9 (allegedly Gov. Spitzer) paid a woman about $4,300 in a D.C. hotel.

A spokesman from the prosecutor’s office said, “Typically, when a Democrat Governor comes to the nation’s capital, he’s got his hat in hand and winds up leaving town with a bunch of money. The fact that Spitzer brought money into the District, gave it to a taxpayer, and left with less cash in his pocket was a red flag for us.”

Good laugh for watching the Cash Flow Institute's biggest graduate forget which way the money is supposed to flow?

Eliot, I think your time in government is over if this is true. Time to hang up the hat and find some thing else to do.

Good Gawd! They are saying he spent over $80,000 on D.C. hookers over the past 8 years or so. The word on the street is he's using his resignation as governor as a bargaining chip to try and stay out of jail.

The hell of it is that the guy who is Lt. Gov. in NY is really not up for the job. He's legally blind, and was put in as a political favor. Now he's about to be one of the most poserful Gubnor's in the Nation.

Quite a mess...and did you see how that slob dragged his Missus up on the stage to listen to his apology?? Let me tell you my wife was pissed off about it...(nothing to do with me, just the idea that Spitz did that to his wife...)

For eight years?? I bet most wives would dump there men in front of a Washington Ferry is its about ready to dock if they ever found that out??

What an idiot?? Especially at NYSAG, he was running against Corruption at the business level when his hands were not even clean. Do you remember all of his political pandering and whining about Wall Street and ITs problems??

I remember it well WB. Spitz won the Governorship in New York with almost 70% of the vote because he ran as a crusader, and friend of the little guy. He made a very big deal about going after a couple of prostitution rings while he was NYAG, and apparently he was being serviced in DC on a regular basis at the same time.

He's a true scumbag, with a lot of enemies...now the only thing he can hope for in his future is an Eliot Spitzer Pontiac Dealership with a decent location...

After Wall street gets done with him, he'll be lucky to get union janitor job at any local school anywhere.

There is one thing to call some one out with valid information, its a heck of a lot more to call some thing with political tones and "the kettle black" when your actually doing the same thing privately.

He's going to get his due.. Honestly hope his kids or family never does get any screwed over because he was too stupid to cover his tracks...

Wall Street is the least of his worries.

He's facing indictment by the State of New York, and possibly the Federal Government for participating in an interstate prostitution ring.

I'd think that Mann act and New York state thing would be a nice and hell-of-a-pay-back for all that political bashing and nashing he's done for so long against wall street.

Well back to the drawing board for the governor for the next election..

Election?? Ha!

The only thing he'll be looking for is the future location for Eliot Spitzer Pontiac...

<lol..> Love your hammer on the keyboard avatar!

Yeah, I thought the Eliot Spitzer Pontiac was a little above board for him. But you know after years of him railing against car manufacturers, may be that would be the best for him to own a speak easy car dealership near albany..
