Clark County (Vancouver) WA has a program of recycling Computers, Computer Parts, & TV Sets:

This is run by the City of Vancouver Solid Waste Services (360-696-8186). Among them, the centers are often seven days a week.

West Van Materials Recovery Center (360-737-1727)

6601 NW Old Lower River Road ,Vancouver

Open Friday & Saturday, 8 AM-4 PM

Directions: Go north on I-5 over Columbia River Bridge, exit at Exit I-C for Mill Plain Boulevard (Route 501) & go left (west) (along Phil Worth’s $40 million/mile Mill Plain Extension) for about 1.8 miles until the junction with 4th Plain Boulevard. Then bear left (west) at fork where 4th Plain Boulevard joins Mill Plain Boulevard to form Lower River Road (Route 501). This is the route to Vancouver Lake through the West Side industrial area. Go about two miles. At the Tidewater sign, turn left (south) onto Old Lower River Road. If you miss it & see Vancouver Lake on your right, turn around: you’ve gone too far. After entering Old Lower River Road turn right at the stop sign & go one block. Take the first left, then the first right.


Clark County Jail Work Center

5197 NW Old Lower River Road, Vancouver

Open Monday to Thursday, 9 AM-11:30 AM & 1:00-4:00 PM

Directions: Same as above except for last 200 feet. Between this place & the above this site on Old Lower River Road is open six days a week..


Central Transfer & Recycling Center (360-256-8482)

11034 NE 117th Avenue, Vancouver

Open Saturday & Sunday, 8 AM-4 PM

Directions: Go north on I-5 or I-205 to SR500.

Go over I-5 or I-205 Columbia River Bridge, then exit onto SR500 (to east from either I-5 or I-205). Follow SR500 until its end at the intersection of 4th Plain Boulevard & 117th Avenue (SR503). Go straight north for about 1.8 miles past the Padden Parkway, Fred Meyer, and 99th Street. If you miss it & come to 119th Street, turn around: you’ve gone too far.

They took my suggestion and allowed us to dump stuff at the place over on 117th Avenue!!!

Sorry about 6 months ago, I was turned away from bringing electronics gear there. Hope I now can do that.

All the electronics geat that comes into these two places are looked over and reused in the community by CREAM (basically inmates..) or recycled if they have to be.
