Sorry here is a wonderful article from Kathie Durbin on Jamie Herrerra and her days in the legislature.

Not going to post it but for the wonderful few that might be in her district, take a look at who is representing you.. Its way too long to post but there might be people who might be interested in reading it..

GO JAMIE GO! :-)

Sorry but I think some one needs to give her a BOOST!

Comments I found interesting from the article:

"Next up for Herrera is launching a campaign to win election to the seat to which she was appointed. According to campaign finance disclosure records, she had about $23,000 in cash and in-kind contributions on hand as of the end of January.

Legislators are prohibited from raising campaign funds during legislative sessions.

At this point, she has no primary opponent but will face Democrat Vanessa L. Duplessie in the general election.

Her only regret is that she didn’t sign on as a sponsor of more bills, so she could learn about issues that interest her. “A lot of things were pushed that I never had a chance to support or oppose.”

If this woman runs against Vanessa, who was a recipient of the last Marshall award in Vancouver, Jamie is going to her work cut out for her..

You may be right, but Jamie has the advantage of being the incumbent, and that is always the more powerful position.

hehe.. I see that I got a little exciting this early morning.. If you read the article, it shows she's working on becoming an effective Southwest Washington state representative.

I don't think you could call her a incumbent with being in the house for a short term session that she was appointed to. Vanessa will give Jamie a huge run for her money or election. Going to say I think this election will be the hardest coming up in the next election cycle.
