State Senator Craig Pridemore signed on as co-sponsor of SB 6900 to increase license fees based on engine displacement.
Pridemore, even thought a co-sponsor, is quoted in The Columbian as saying to a constituent that, "he opposed the bill but wanted to open a discussion about how to require owners of large vehicles to pay extra for the greenhouse gases they emit and the wear and tear they inflict on the roads."
Is this a misquote or does Pridemore really think that any rational person would believe that bunch of baloney. Would anyone want to bet on how he would have voted if this bill would have came to the floor for a vote???

He makes it sound like he's only going after those nasty SUV's doesn't he? It seems to me that there is more damage done to our roads by cars who use traction devices on their tires than an SUV with road wheels on it.
This is a bogus argument from Pridemore, who never met a tax he didn't like, and is one of the Uber-Liberals in Olympia who are actively seeking new ways to tax us for their pet projects, like Light Rail...

If Pridemore is so concerned about the enviroment he could singlehandidly solve the problem of global warming by shutting off the hot air.

If he did that, we'd have 4-5 more feet of snow in the Washington Cascades...

If he healed global warning, those idiots would find some new and auspicious to complain and rail about? Any one got the memo on that one?
Honestly, I'm paying attention to other Factors in our economy like livable communities, cost effective transportation systems and ways to get the most bang for our buck from non-consultants....
