As you have heard, the Washington Legislature has passed their bill allowing the City of Vancouver (and other localities) to impose an Ordinance that charges everyone inside of the City limits a $20.00 surcharge on each license plate they own.

The passage of this bill is a direct result of heavy lobbying in the Legislature by Ginger Metcalf of identity Clark County, who is also a partner with the City on other pieces of Taxation without Representation measures before the Washington Legislature right now.

Nothing has happened yet. The bill is on it's way to Governor Gregoire, who many think will just sign it. If she does, the City of America's Vancouver will be enabled at some point to implement this tax without your approval. Likely as not it would not matter if they needed your approval, someone would find a way to put it on the ballot on the weekednd before the Fourth of July, thereby guaranteeing minimum participation, and free Martial Music at Ester Short Park to celebrate the event.

I am stating right now, that when the City of Vancouver begins it's Public relations campaign via their pet dogs at the Columbian, I will not withhold comment here at Clarkblog.org.

I will actively seek out members and sponsors of Identity Clark County and start sending them notices of my personal intent to boycott their business, because they pay sales tax to the City of America's Vancouver.

If the City of America's Vancouver actually enacts this rumored ordinance, I will actively work to find places to spend my money that do not pay sales tax to the City of America's Vancouver, in order to compensate for the amount being illegally cooerced from me by them.

And I will urge as many other people that I know to do the same thing.

Let us not forget that we have all kinds of local offices that are coming up for reelection in 2008. There are a couple of the local liberals who have already filed their intent to run again, despite being reelected last November. That allows them to continue suckling money from the Public Teat, as long as they file the appropriate forms.

Nothing like lunch on someone else's buck, unless you just cost them a few thousand dollars of income for supporting the wrong side on this "modest" $20 car tax....

Fair warning Tim Leavitt, et al.

Isn't it enough that citizens are outgunned, outmanned, and out financed, you have to give 'em a roadmap on what to avoid?

Sure does make it harder to take any effective action, doesn't it???

Time to put up, or shut up, and I have way too much to say to even consider the latter...

According to Kathy Durbin in the morning fishwrapper, Her Majesty The Governor will sign the $20 License Tag fee into law at 4:00 this afternoon. So much for the lie of being notified about this, once again the local politicians are allowing their pet dog, the Columbian, do their talking for them.

The local DemocRats are attempting to allow Bill Fromhold to hold the bag on this, because he is not running for re-election. That might seem politically expediant for some, but it ain't gonna work here at clarkblog. There is plenty of responsibility to hand around for this, and as promised, I am going to begin with the people who requested this bill, the City of Ameica's The 'Couv, and thier Political allies in Identity Clark County.

This is going to be a Political millstone around the neck of anyone who has a part in this travesty. You will see what I mean over the coming weeks.

Game on.

:-) Well just watch out! They'll catch you with all those electronic toll cards on both bridges if they can find a way to do it.

Also hope you enjoyed a nice trip over to Ikea and their wonderful selection.

If you order online those Ikea items, would there not be a hefty shipping charge? Not sure, but probably just easier to go over and be done with it.
