Driver over the side on the Klineline Bridge...

Breaking on 1190 KEX, there is a rescue underway right now in Vancouver to save a driver who apparently drove over the side of the Klineline Bridge...

1190 KEX is confirming on the air that someone apparently bypassed the barriers and went over the edge and into Salmon Creek, and the rescue operation continues near the Klineline Bridge.

Sounds like it was some dumbass with a lottle dog on his lap, and probably on a cellphone that caused this. Nobody hurt except for ego...

Yep.. Little dog got on the gas peddle and the driver didn't know what the brake was for. Should have stepped on that dog and hit the brakes, even if it meant near death for that little dog. Dogs like that have no business NEAR a driver. I don't care what the owners are thinking.. I think that guy should have to pay personally if its true what happened. Because all of it was preventable.

Certainly worth a citation for "Driving Distracted". Good thing he didn't hit someone headon instead...

Lucky he did not run a red light and push some one else over that bridge as well.

Hope he does get well and learns a lesson.. Dogs don't belong in the front seat. Put them in a yap carrier.
