The abbreviation WWPCD? is my new catch-phrase for this year.
Since he was elected last year as the Great White Hope of the Citizens Against Virtually Everything, and was promoted as the cure for every ill in Vancouver including Fits, Farts, and Fleas; I think it's only suitable that we ask "What Will Pat Campbell Do" about all of the things that bother us here in the City of America's "The Couv"...
Just don't hold your breath until he publishes his detailed stragery for anything...

I thought we all ready published and figured this one out?
Yes, Pats very quiet.. But he does ask some very interesting and weird questions if you happen to have to listen to all the council meetings.
Like the last one at the CDBG about why we're not getting Sex offenders off the streets and into housing instead of letting them roam the City of Vancouver.
Answer: Basically there is no money for it. And very little Community Block Grant Money coming from the Federal and state sources.

I was not aware that the City of Vancouver (or any other munincipality in the area) was doing that....

From my memory, Pat sits in the middle or left side most seat on the outer edge.
Have not had a chance to watch the City of Vancouver meeting this week. But my comments were aimed at last weeks meeting. Pat says very little during the meetings.
I'd say he's trying to learn the process and say very little until he knows more. The other councilors are trying to teach him the ropes. But I can say he's a 100 light years different than Jerry.

So I take it that Pat's learnig curve is as steep as Jerry Oliver's then?
I'm amazed that these two require so much training! During the campaign they were both touted as the cure for all of the ills at the Port of Vancouver and in the City.
I found out yesterday that Commissioner Oliver is crafting a plan for the next budget cycle, and in fairness we need to see what he is going to propose before passing further judgement on it. At least Commissioner Oliver will answer a straight question, (kind of...).
Pat Campbell was elected because of his vast experience in Law Enforcement, and because he was to be the cure for eveything, including fits, farts, and freckles...yet we have not heard one single cogent plan, or seen one written opinion about anything facing the City of Vancouver yet.
That tells me he's as content with being a paid spectator on City Council just like Tonks was.
Show me the legislation.

Fence sitter or back ender who does things behind the scenes.
From what I saw Dan was more of a guy who did things behind the scenes to affect what needed to happen as Mayor Pro-tem. Royce was the one who was the actual person who verbal side of things unless Dan wanted to get to a point that needed to be made.
Yes, I do think Pat has a huge learning curve and going to give him six more months to let him get comfortable and learn the process.. I know because of your past comments you have a huge issue with these two gentlemen and their campaign promises. Go and keep Jerry's feet to the fire because I think he's the one honestly ran his mouth off and deserves to eat his words if he feels that he can deliver on such campaign promises.
I'm more leaning toward giving Pat a little time. To find out who he is and to make sure he understand that I'm one of his constituents, along with how I feel.
No, Chief we don't see politically eye to eye on subjects. Some of the stuff I've seen recently at various meetings has changed my mind about transportation issues in Clark County. But I do want meet him and chat with him personally before I'm going to castigate him here.
Just like I said I would do with Jeannes, Tim, Royce and all the rest. Hiding behind an online moniker is what cowards do. Because of my life the way its now, I can't devote more time to this endeavor but I'm doing this a little at a time.

I'm not going to broad stroke him that easily... There is huge difference between Tim Probst, Pat and Patella Foreign Fein, Inc.
But heck, I'll leave to your coffee filled comments..

You're still missing the point WB...
Again, City Council seats are supposed to be non-partisan, and making partisan endorsements is at the very least, poor form.
