There is a heck of a lot of stuff on Woody Guthrie and Columbia River/Bonneville Power Administration.

But this one stood out and was kind of nice.

Its entitled "Roll on the Columbia" and tells how Woody got the job for 1 month that has him immortalized hero to those who know the history of our wonderful region here in the Portland/Vancouver area.

This video is about 9 minutes long. Must have flash installed to watch it.

Hope I can find more wonderful historical stuff that hasn't really been talked about or discussed. :-) I love finding weird or different stuff..

This is a government film done just after world war 2. Includes Movie Shots of Celilo Falls BEFORE it was dammed and many other wonderful historical references of Astoria, Bonneville, (looks like The Dalles dam hadn't been built yet but the Cascade locks are mentioned and shown.

Also 1940's Portland Oregon along with the Willamette River is shown and there is a shot of the Vancouver lake also.

I loved this 10 minute film done by the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA)
If you interested as I was, watch it at:
