Why can't I post a large .pdf file in my post?

The size of certain attachments is controlled in order to save using bandwidth. If we allowed those files as attachments in posts, the access time would be a lot slower, and they could cause problems with our backups.

If you have a large .pdf file that you think is important to have available at Clarkblog, I will be glad to upoad it to the server for you, and post a hotlink to it in the "Reference Materials" section. Give me a heads up via PM, and I will have you e-mail me the file so I can upload it for you.

Yep. This is basically what you said in e-mail and fine with me. If in the future I have stuff like it, I'll just catch you in PM or e-mail..

:-) I think I only notified you once. But the discussion has gone on and on a few days about these large pdf's.
