SWRTC on January 2nd, 2008.... (Should you attend?)

If your interested in CRCP, RTC will be having a informational update and some other things in it..

From todays local paper:

Wednesday

Southwest Washington Regional Transportation Council, 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., Clark County Elections Building, 1408 Franklin St., Vancouver. The board will hear an update on the Columbia River Crossing and a briefing on the 2008 session of the Washington Legislature.

My current question is "WHY is this being put on the day after Christmas when NO one in there right mind would be around?"

It's a public meeting, but there's probably not much really going on. Did you check RTC's website for a current agenda??

The local papers placement makes NO SENSE? The next RTC meeting is January 2nd unless they are going to be doing a thank you to Arch???

Do you know any thing Chief or was this a mistake listing from the local paper..

Yep.. Someone got there wires mixed up. The next RTC meeting is Wednesday January 2nd not December 26th..

This might be a great way to kick off the new year WB, by attending this meeting. I'd at least like to get my hands on whatever handouts they have.

Chief from reading that off the original rtc site it looked like both of us should attend that meeting. Also listening to 12-17's City of Vancouver Consent agenda looked like the city was looking into the C-tran part of the CRCP. Sounds like the RTC might be taking this up in January.

Need to go watch on CVTV the CRCP on 12/17's workshop videos.

I am trying to get it open Its a few days after I get back from California, so hope to have cleared off the family and christmas lag off before it. Though Chief this meeting looked important.

And am I wrong in suspecting there is a January Task Force meeting?
