Hey karma!!

Besides the two kinds of bee balm that I grow that are tried and true hummingbird attractants, what else is indiginous to the area that the hummers will go for? I like the taller flowers because it keeps things challenging for the cats...

Sorry Chief, been a busy few days in the yard cleaning up the winter messes. I have a great hummingbird shrubs, the Pieris are in bloom now for the earlier birds, then later there is the Butterfly bushes, my favorite if the Blue Sea one. Ya just need to come out and I'll give ya one. I have plenty of seeds that have dropped so I'll have babies to give away. Then there is the peonies, hosta and lilies, do add lots of color to your yard so they will come in flocks!! There are plenty of plants you can add as long as you add color that attracks them. I just love the Hummers that love to go inside of the Brugmansia blooms!! Cannas are another item they love. As a hybridizer of plants it's fun to see what they do when allowed to open pollinate some of these beauties.

I watched a pair of hummers this morning fuel up on the columbines that we didn't cut back. You should give them a wide variety to pick from. Where are your clemmies??

Too hot in the back for clematis. I've tried, and it just gets fried.

Say what??? Which type did you put in?? If you don't know the type, give me a name. We have several in full sun and a couple in pots. Passifloras are even a better choice.
