I'd say that Oakland ought to be good for at least 100 penalty yards against the Colts tomorrow...and speaking of penalties, wouldn't it be sweet if Miami won it's only game of the season tomorrow by stomping on B-More??

;D

Did you say 1000 yard penalties against the Junkyard Oakland Raider scrappers? :-) Now that would be a fun game!

Oakland is still the most heavily penalized team in NFL history. They invented and refined the concept of the Personal Foul in Oakland (under Art Schell) and are textbook examples of how to exhibit Unsportsmanlike Conduct...

"textbook examples of how to exhibit Unsportsmanlike Conduct..." Without getting caught? 80)

I just caught an update from Cleveland, where the Browns are facing Buffalo....it's snowing so hard you can hardly make out the goalposts from the centerfield camera...the whole field is white, and the yard markers are being show-shoveled by hand by the grounds crew in a driving blizzard...

I've been to football games like that when I was younger at the old Cleveland Stadium, and I tell ya, football just dowsn't get better than that...including hot barbecued shrimp cooked on the tailgate at Burke-Lakefront Airport's parking lot...

That's football...

;D

You, food and football? what seems missing in this equation? :-)

Not a darn thing actually.

I'm of a mind these days to comfortably enjoy my football games in front of my big screen TV and next to my hot woodstove, instead of freezing my ass off in the Dog Pound. I ain't 22 years old any more, so hanging out in that kind of weather is less appealing now and much more nostalgic than it was in days of yore...

;D

Well "asuming the position" at your age is a fine way of living life.

Don't think I'd sit in a freezing stadium to watch a football or some other sport unless I was properly motivated myself.
